The first step to preserving your fertile future is to make an appointment to complete a semen analysis within our laboratory. This step will allow Cryobank America to determine your specimen's eligibility for cryopreservation. During this visit, we can also save your semen for future use. When our lab determines that your sample is viable, we will process the specimen for cryopreservation. View our Semen Analysis for more information regarding this step.

This step will allow for Cryobank America to make a determination for the ability of cryopreservation of your specimen. During this visit, we can also save the specimen for future use. The lab will determine its viability. Once that determination is complete they will process the specimen for cryopreservation. View our Semen Analysis for more information regarding this step.

Each collection includes the processing and cryopreservation of that given sample. Therefore, we recommend an abstinence period of 48 hours before each collection to maximize the number of potentially progressively motile sperm cells.
If you plan to use your stored sperm specimens with a recipient who is a sexually intimate partner, additional blood testing and medical examination are not required.
Suppose your specimens are for a recipient who is not a sexually intimate partner. In that case, you must undergo another medical examination and blood test upon completing the 6-month quarantine period.
It is also important to note that some treating physicians will not work with sperm samples that have not undergone the post-quarantine period for infectious disease testing.
